Miss Edna M. Cree

Van Buren Co. Health Unit

My dear Miss Cree:
Your letter of July 10 with your physical examination
reports have been received. They have been approved and are on
file with your records in this office.
Because of the uncertainty of our having to call for
nurses it is advisable for you to leave your application on rile
with the Nurse Placement Bureau in Chicago. I would like, too,
to suggest that you do not allow the fact that your name is on
our list of public health nurses for emergency work, to prevent
you from taking the type of position you want. We have reason
to believe that the majority of public health nursing agencies
will be willing to release nurses in the event of a national
emergency. You will, I am sure, notify us of your change of
address.
Thanking you for your interest and cooperation, I am
Yours sincerely,
Mary Beard
