Dear Miss Beard:
I am writing to you to learn of any news of
the group of public health nurses who were to have sailed
from New Orleans on May 28, to join the Harvard-Red Cross Unit
in England.
I am not asking for inside information, but
I am concerned to know of the sâfety of the group, as one
member of it was a friend of many years.
Your staff is very busy, I am sure, and I hope
thatthis request is not too trivial for attention. My appreci-
ation is more than my expression of it.
