Mary H. Bethel, Acting Chief Nurse,
A. R. C. Commission to Europe.
To:
Major H.S. Todd, Director, R.C. Activities,
France and Belgium.
subject: copy of letter from col. Pierce of the Graves Redgistation
Bureau to General Ireland, date of May 18th 1920.
I quote below memorandum in re the removal of
Miss Delano's body, for your information:-
1. Referring to your memo of the 11th concerning an
opportunity being furnished & representative of the American Red
Cross in Faris to be present at the removal of the casket contain-
ing the remains of Jane A. Delano, I am pleased to advise you that
your request has been forwarded to Colonel Rethers asking him to
comply with your wishes insofar as he is able.
2. I have no, doubt that colonel Rethers will make the
necessary arrangements with the Red Cross representative in Paris.
