THE LAKESIDE HOSPITAL SCHOOL FOR NURSES CLEVELAND, OHIO A. R. WARNER, M. D. ACTING SUPERINTENDENT OF THE HOSPITAL MARY R. SAMUEL, R. N. Sept. 12th, 1914. PRINCIPAL OF THE SCHOOL FOR NURSES Miss Jane A. Delano, National Red Cross, Union Trust Bldg., Washington, D.C. My dear Miss Delano: Upon my return from England two days ago I find your letter of August 14th, asking for information about Miss Harriet Douglas, a graduate of Roosevelt Hospital. Perhaps you know Miss Douglas is a sister-in-law of Bishop Harding and has taken care of his household for some years. Miss Douglas has a charming personality but she has been out of active service for so long that I hardly see how she could undertake Red Cross Service without some post-graduate work. Neither do I think she would be strong enough as she is of a nervous temperment and could not endure hard- ships, particularly in a foreign country. She was an excellent nurse and is highly educated, cultured, and refined. Yours very sincerely, Mary Principal G Summl
