Mr. Alfred Harding
50 Morningside Drive
New York 25, N. Y.
Dear Mr. Harding:
It was indeed thoughtful of you to return the Red Cross nurse's
badge and appointment card belonging to Miss Douglas. To some members
of our staff who worked with Miss Douglas when she was here at head-
quarters, her death had great personal significance.
You may be interested in knowing that Mrs. Anna Heley who served
as secretary to her. in 1917, stopped by to see her about two years ago
while on a vacation trip to California. Others on our staff remember
her and the wonderful person that she was.
We are taking the liberty of notifying the American Journal of
Nursing of her death and it will be noted in one of the issues so that
others who worked with her can know that a great leader, as well as
personal friend, has finished her work.
Sincerely yours,
OBE:UUM
