Attention: Mrs. Judy Blank
Dear Mrs. Bible:
On January 24, 1958, Miss Virginia B. Elliman, our
Director of Nurse Enrollment at that time, wrote Miss Catherine
S. Dover, 2733 12th Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida, as
follows:
"As you indicated on your application, your services
overseas were under the American Red Cross and
you were not militarized during that period. You were,
therefore, not classified as a beneficiary of the
Veterans Administration and would not be eligible to
receive benefits such as a pension."
Miss Dover was on the Red Cross payroll all during the
time of her overseas service. She was not a military nurse and
is not eligible for a veteran's pension.
We are indeed sorry that we cannot be of assistance to
her in this matter.
