Dear Sir:
I am writing this letter on behalf of Miss Dover who was a Red Cross nurse during
World War I. She had been inducted into the Red Cross in 1917 in New York City.
As I understand it, Miss Dover had been stationed in France in 1917 and 1918. For
six months she did civilian relief work, and was then attached to the army for a
year and a half.
If we can get a copy of Miss Dover's service records showing she was attached to the
army, it is possible that she would be eligible for a veteran's pension. Would
you be able to help us in this matter, as we do want Miss Dover to have every
opportunity to receive benefits which she may be entitled to.
Thank you for your time and trouble.
Sincerely,
Cerrie L. Bide
