November 7, 1940. Miss Catherine Corley, Director of Nurses, Maryland State Dept. of Health, Baltimore, Maryland. My dear Miss Corley: Miss Lavinia Yartha Fulton has applied for con- sideration as & general staff nurse for service with the American Red Cross-Harvard Hospital for care of communicable diseases in England and states she is employed by the Maryland State Department of Health Do you consider from your observation of this applicant that she possesses the qualities necessary for such an assignment? We should appreciate it if you would fill out the enclosed questionnaire and return to us so that we may determine the fitness of the applicant for the position requested.
