We feel now that when we\nhave a definite date of sailing we will be able to give you 10 days'\nnotice, so you should make your plans concerning vacation, etc.,\naccordingly.\nIf you wish to take money with you for personal expenses in\naddition to the check submitted by the American Red Cross it seems\nthere is no restriction on the amount taken into Britain but not\nmore than 10 Pounds can be brought out.\nYou will be supplied with two dark blue wash skirts and four\ncotton shirt blouses to be worn on duty in the field during the\nsummer time when it will be too warm to wear your regular street\nuniform.\nSincerely yours,\nGertrude Madley,\nChief Nurse,\nAmerican Red Cross-\nHarvard Hospital Unit.\nM/B\nEnc. 1"
