    "ocrText": "I\nay,\nI\nPage Two\nSavanna Boxers\nWin Decisions Or\nSeatt\nDraw in Fights\nSchmidel and Swingley Win\nTheir Battles While Smith\nand Plattenberger Are\nGiven Draw\nSavanna entries in the boxing con-\ntest at Chadwick Saturday evening\nwere given the decision in two or\nthe bouts and in two other events\nwere given a draw with their Chad-\nwick opponents.\nThe four round bou't between Bud\nSmith of Savanna and Kid Eisfeller\nof Chadwick was called a draw,\nHardoil Schmidel was given the de-\ncasion in a three round bout with\nBen St. Clair, Pete Swingley won\nthe decision in his three round bout\nwith Bill Doty, and Big Boy Platten-\nberger Tought a three round bout\nwith Kid Pascal to a draw.\nBud Smith hammered his oppon-\nI\nent, Kid Eisfeller, for four rounds\nin the first bout on the card. There\nwas plenty of action from the start\nto the finish of the fight.\nThree Rounds\n€ After the first event the judges\nel\ncut the bouts to three instead of\na\nfour rounds because of the intense\nheat.\n- Next on the card was the bout\nbetween Hardoil Schmidel and Ben\nSt. Clair. This bout kept the fans\non the edges of their seats during\nB\nthe entire three rounds and St. Clair\nC\nknew he was in a fight when\na\nSchmidel finished with him. Hard-\nti\non early won the decision.\nh\nPete Swingley gave plenty of\ngloves to Bill Doty, runner up in\nthe golden gloves contest, and won\nthe decision in three rounds.\nd\nHard hitting and classy footwork\nD\nwere displayed in the bout between\nBig Boy Plattenberger and Kid Pas-\nsi\ncal which was called a draw at the\nend of the three rounds.\nJoe Doll of Savanna refereed the\ntights and E. J. Nichel of Savanna\nU\nwas one of the judges and also the\nassistant timekeeper. Jack Wentz,\nwho is home from Rockway Beach,\nN. Y., seconded the Savanna entries.\nA return bout is being arranged\nbetween the Chadwick and Savanna\nfäghters and will be held in Savanna\nto a few weeks.
