NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS

From
Mr. Brunner
Subject
I thank you very much for your memorandume of Dec. 5. I entertain
the hope that the obituary of Miss Hay, when the proof comes to you, will
be fully revised by you. I tried to do a competent piece of writing, with
the assistance of files and the "History," when Mrs. Dean (on the plea of
finishing a special article before leaving the Red Cross) turned the data
she had back to me.
The material in our December number observing the twentieth
anniversary of our Public Health Nursing Service was scheduled and supplied
in its entirety by that Service. Surely one had to believe this material
was accurate and complete. The galley proofs were routed to you, as is
the rule.
May I be forgiven errors of omission and commission (which naturally
occur in the nature of my job)? I feel I must continue to have your sincerely
valued assistance and guidance, and the team play which has been a real joy
to me these last eight years of my editorship. The cordiality and under-
standing of your memorandum assures me that our faith in the Red Cross
will abide.
