I I eel S C March 28, 1933. C + + Mrs. M. P. Guenoff Rue Far Daniel N.38 Philippopolis, Bulgaria My dear Mrs. Guenoff: Your letter of March 1, describing the special service in honor of Miss delen Scott way held in the Protestant Church, was received in this office a few days ago. Speaking for myself, personally, as well as for the ned Cross organization, I cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciate the thoughtful observences commemorating the service of Miss Hey. I have heard her spesk very fectionately of those with whom she worked in Fhilippopolis, and I know she always looked back upon the 15 months of service in that city with the tenderest recollections. ile are gratified to learn that becnuse of her eximple that a dispensary has been erected. No finer memoriel than this could be found. ile are also interested to learn that two students from l'hilippopolis are supplied with scholarships to the School for Burses in Pofia in memory of "iss Hay. I know of nothing that would have pleased her more than to feel that she was in any way instrumental in helping to give to Pulgaria qualified nurses - nurses who would be prepared to follow her in the type of work in which she was so greatly interested. - copy of your letter is being sent to Miss Hay's family and also to diss Torrance. We will send you a copy of the American Red Cross Courier in which sone extracts from-your letter will appear. Again thanking you, I remain Sincerely yours Dational Director, Nursing Service 2015 N
