ZI e e nd Le Nurrieg File convermentical Mrs. Mrs. Everett Brochie June 25,1940 Chairman, Nursing Activities Committee Weston Chapter American Red Cross see Weston, Massachusetts M My dear Mrs. Brochie: We have received a letter from Miss Virginia R. Robinson, In this she has told us of your interest and under- standing of our problems relative to the possible need for M public health nurses in Europe. Miss Robinson has also told us of the points on which you wish some additional information. They are -- 1. "Is there any possibility of deternining at the present time where the American nurses would be sent?" and 2. "Is it at all possible to give the substitute whom we might choose any information as to how soon she might be needed?" of the constantly changing picture in the European we can not, at this say conditions, Because time, is when true or as far as knowing where the nurses are to be sent and when we if public health nurses will be needed. The same may be asked to supply them. In view of this it is almost impossible to give you any specific information in regard to the questions that you asked. In all probability the nurses will be asked to report to a person designated, who, in turn, will assign them to the areas in which the need for nursing work is most urgent. a
