My dear Mrs. Hickey:
Miss Butler has just referred to me your letter
of November 11 expressing your willingness to accept appoint-
ment as a member of the District of Columbia Committee on
American Red Cross Nursing Service. I am very much vleased
to learn of your availability for this service and will ask
that you consider this letter as your formal appointment,
which is made in accordance with the rules governing Committees
as set forth in the enclosed circular, A.R.C. 710. I find that
Miss Butler gave you the names of the officers of the Committes
in her letter of November 7.
With my good wishes and appreciating your cooperation
in this work, believe me,
