Dear Miss Noyes:
Referring to your letter of February 28th,
in re record of Jennie Pauline Hoagland, army nurse.
Thank you for the photostatic copies (in
duplicate) of the citation; and for your interest in
this matter and your helpfulness to our Bureau.
There would, however, seem to be some mistake.
The citation translation is practically the same as
the one enclosed in your letter of January 2d (except
for the word "bronze" medal). It is a copy of the
certificate for the Serbian Red Cross silver medal.
For your information, I am again enclosing
the photostatic copy which Miss Jennie Hoagland fur-
nished us (sent you by us in our letter of December
12th and returned by you in your letter of January 2d).
You will notice that there is one word different in
your copy, also enclosed, which I judge is the word
"bronze" instead of "silver". We should very much
like the translations and Miss Hoagland's copy back
after you have compared them with those you had made.
I hope you will be able to get a translation
of the Cross of Mercy citation.
