Ord the Miss n or 'a' Kingsbury
Helen arrived from Siberia on the Logan October
18th, bringing with her instructions from Major Burle D. Bramhall, our Personnel
Officer in Siberia, which stated that she was entitled to salary at $70.00 a
month to the date of her arrival in Ottawa, Canada. Mr. Case, our Representa-
tive at San Francisco, estimated that she should arrive in Ottawa on October
28th and I have requested our Comptroller to pay Miss Kingsbury salary to that
date.
In a letter received from her she fixes the date to which she
is entitled to receive salary as November 15, 1919. I wrote her on July 6th
asking her upon what she based this date and have received the enclosed letter
in reply.
I would be glad to have from you a recommendation as to
whether or not Miss Kingsbury should be allowed a continuation of her salary to
November 15th on the ground that it was necessary for her to see you and Miss
Johnson of the Atlantic Division.
