K 201 s January 22, 1918. lliss Agnos P. Kloman, 915 2nô Aveer S., Osgood Flats, Fazgo, N. D. Dear Miss Klomani-- Realizing the increasing and unusual demand for public health nursos, I could not holp but regrot that you felt you were not meeting a considerable noed at Pargo. The spirit of unrest soens to have attacioed the zuses quite gonornlly. Personally I think it is a great mistake to sive up one's present work for another field. We havo done all de could as you know to urgo our murses to romain at their presont nost. The Red Cros3 considers the public health work in which they are engaged as very Supor tant. This Bureau does not havo arything to do with the assignment of narses for Waux rolief work. It youl bo bost for you to wite directly to Miss Noyes and let hor know your wishos. If you winh to refer her to me I shall bo glad to talk with hor about you Miss Brown in regard to wiom I wrote you sometimo ago has decided to give up her plans for a public health muroing course at present and consider war relief service. I do not know just what will happen to public health nursing Certainly there is going to be a call for this work as never before. I cannot tell you definitely about the orphans in rogard to which you write. A good miny I bolieve have been brought to this country but a definite effort is being made. to care for them in their own country which of course would be the best way if such a plan is practicable. I wish that you felt as I do that you were rendering a patriotic service by caring for the welfare of those who are carrying the burdens at home,as I feel that you aré, by remaining in Fargo. Very sincerely yours, Director, fowm and Country C-S nursing Service.
