Klomen,\ndated Herch 11, 1948, we have made further inquiry but are able to get no\nadditional informs tion beyond thet which we sent you on March 5.\nThere is no provision whereby Miss Kloman can receive dissbility\nbenefits from the American Red Cross because of her services in world war I.\nAs I mentioned in my previous menorandum, there is . possibility that Miss\nKloman my be eligible for assistance from the John Barton Payne Fund. Be-\nfore we cen get e ruling on her eligibility, however, it will be necessary for\nus to have a brief prepared in which information is given on e esae work basis.\nWe note in the memorandum from Mrs. Rogers to you that the chapter worker con-\ncerned has stated that the community considers Misa Kloman to be in desperate\ncircunstences. It will be necessary for us to know her budgetary expenses,\nher income, and the extent to which her femily is able to assist. If you will\nfollow the regular outline set up for presenting Clain's Cases, as we suggested\nin our previous memorendum, I believe ve will have all of the neceasary material.\nMisa Klomen's letest address, as recorded by Bursing Service, is 600\nEdgewater Rond, Roland Park, Maryland. This address was given in 1942 and she\nwas living with her brother, Dr. E. a. Klomen, at that time. We would like to\nknow where Miss Kloman is living now. From your memoranda ve infer that ahe\nmust be living in Fauquier County, Virginia.\nSinee the chapter is already interested in her ease, and sinee Mins\nKlomen was formerly an employee of the Fauquier Chapter, it would seem thet\nthere would be little difficulty in baving a brief prepared there and forwarded\nto the area.\nWe assure you that we shall do everything possible in referring the\ncase for approval by the proper authorities.\n(SIGNED) NOTMAN A.
