Miss Clara D.Noyes,
Washington, D.C.
My Dear Miss Noyes;
Your letter concerning my appointment to the
Childrens Bureau in France at hand. Thank you very
much for your trouble and kindness in the matter.
I have talked with Miss Welch and she will see
about my other papers at once.
I will be very glad to take either the
surgical or orthopedic work as long as it is in
connection with the treatment of children. I am
willing to work where I am needed the most. You did
not state in your letter but I suppose the same rules
and regulations apply to nurses in this service as
in any other branch.
I can be ready for service any time after
September first.
Yours very truly
alice E. Labr R.n.
