My dear Miss Laxton:
This will acknowleage your letter of November 8
inquiring whether you could exchange your badge which is
marked "Home Defense" for another. We have so many similar
requests that all of them cannot be nonored. However, in
view of the fact that you are going to be working for the
Red Cross, if you will return your badge we anall De stad
to send you a new one, the face of which is exactly Like the
badge issued to the nurses in the general enrollment. However,
the letters "HU are engraved on the back.
ne are interested in nearing that you are going
to be employed in our Organization and when you make the
change please sena us your new address.
