Higby Sec'y, State & Local Committee Red Cross Nursing Service c/o Doernbecker Hospital Portland, Oregon My dear Miss Higby: We have never received a reply from you to ou our letter of March 8, which we had hoped you would ans- wer, As we are still holding the papers of Miss Genevieve Leprestre, 56 Lucretia Place, Portland, Oregon, pending, awaiting a properly filled in evidence of citizenship we have written once more to the nurse and are sending you a copy of the letter. We do hope that you will get in touch with Miss Leprestre and explain that, citizenship being a requirement we never waive because a nurse is not eligible for active ser- vice except as a citizen of the nited States, it is necessary to have this information on file.
