Little,\n261 County Road,\nBarrington, Rhode Island.\nMy dear Miss Little:\nYour name has been referred to us by Mrs. Mary Dohorty,\nSecretary of your Local Committee, as one interested in submitting\nyour applic tion for the civilian nursing service in Hawaii.\nWe have checked your records and find that you have been\nengaged in Public Health Nursing for a rumber of years. However,\nthere is quite a period, namely - from 1924 to 1937, during which\ntime no address questionnaire WE.S submitted, so that we have no re-\ncord of your professional experience during that time.\nThe service in Hawaii is staff nursing in emergency civilian\nhospitals; therefore, if you have been engaged in Public Health nurs-\ning for a number of years and have not done institutional work, you\nmight not feel qualified for this type of service. However, we shall\nappreciate hearing from you concerning your interest in the program\nand giving us at resume of your past professional experience to help\nus to deteraine your eligibility. At present, there is no opening\nfor uplic Health es such.
