It has been a great disappointment to me not to have completed my service to the O.C.D. of Hawaii as I had hoped, and also to have been dependant on them so long for room and board. However, I have learned at long last why the anny and navy turn down "appointly" sound forty-five -year olders even the physical records for twenty years of steady work show sound physique my sincere thanks go to all the good people of american Red Cross who as- sisted in getting me home to my family miss Machachlin in Honolulu, miss Badger r mess Olson in SanFrancisco- plus the Red Cross welfare workers at Letternan general Hospital & the transportation officer m Packard ; then a miss Johnson of the new york city office who helped with transportation facilities by train to Concord, n.N ; and finally, the Concord
