my dear mrs. Douglas,
after causing you, and
other Red Cross officials, endless annoyance by
begging to get into the Emergency medical Severe
over here, 9 have to report myself very much
of a failure
shortly after Christmas, I had quite an
attach of Origina pectom and have been very
slow in reciperating It has been a full
two months now since I've been on duty, and
now orders are to go home and take things
slowly for at least a year. you and mrs. in amick
were both so friendly and understanding
more than an official report of my downfall.
your letters to me that I thought you desured
needless to say, I aim disappointed
in myself that I could give only six months
to this work. I've enjoyed it thoroughly altho
many seen disgumeting and unhappy about
conditions here my new England consenne
worries considerably about this expense I've been
in relation ho service rendend, but I do not
know what to do about that.
I wrote to Dr. and old at headquarters here,
how I felt about it, and at the time, had thought
I might be able the do the admission Jack jot
offered me here. Since then I've had several
attachs of pain of am now hospitalized agains so
