Miss Florence Elizabeth Little
261 County Road
Barrington, Rhode
My dear Miss Little:
In response to your letter of March 17, may
I advise that we received excellent references for you
both personal and professional. However, by the time
that these had been received and you indicated that
you might be available for service, we had completed
the appointments for staff nurses.
You do occupy an important position in the
public health field at present, and the references we
received from your friends in your community indicated
that they would certainly be very loathe to have you
leave your present position. I am sure that your work
there is appreciated probably more than you realize.
With my continued best wishes to you, I am
Very truly yours,
(Mrs.) Ernestine B. Amick
