My dear Miss Mansfield:
I have just received yourgletter stating that
you had joined the Red Cross in 1908, and I have gone through our
files but do not find your name on our list of enrolled Red Cross
nurses, neither de I find that badge numbor 66 has over been issued
to any one olse. As this was previous to the organization of the
present nursing service and our files at that time were very incom-
plete, it would be necessary for you to forward me your Red Cross
badge as a means of indentification, and I shall be pleased to send
you application pepers to fill out so that you may be enrolled in
the regular way.
Thanking you for your continued intorest in
the Red Cross, and hoping for an early reply, believe me,
Yours sincerely,
Chairman Mational Committee.
