Dear Miss McCormick:
There is no photograph of Miss Anna Caroline Maxwell either in her
personnel file or in our photo files. Her personnel file contains a
New York Times editorial, a resolution of the National Committee on
Red Cross Nursing Service, and some correspondence, all of which followed
her demise. There is no correspondence of hers in the file. The
Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, 622 West 168th Street, New York, N. Y.
10032, where Miss Maxwell was Superintendent of Nurses for thirty years,
should be the logical place to obtain a photograph of her, but you state
that the hospital has not responded. The only other source which should
have her picture is the American Nurses Association, 10 Columbus Circle,
New York, N. Y. 10019.
