C,
Ass*t. Adjutant General
Adjutant General's Office
Tashington, D.C.
Dear Captain Baty:
It is hard for me to tell you how much I appreciate your
cooperation in providing the Guard of Honor and bugler for the
exercises at Miss Maxwell's grave in the Arlington Cemetery on
Sunday, May 3lst. I only wish all the participants in the exer-
cises could have done their part as beautifully as the men whom
you provided for us. I consider it a great privilege to have had
even this brief contact with such en efficient well trained group
I do not know whether Miss Helen Young, Superintendent of
Nurses of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in New York
City, will write to you personally but in case she does not, please
may I espress for the Alumnee Association of this School our deep
appreciation for the very fitting contribution your men were able to
make at the decoration of Mise grave.
Sincerely yours,
