My dear Miss Meseroll:
I am in receipt of your recent request for help in
purchasing an additional pair of shoes, and trust the enclosed
certificate may be useful to you. This procedure has been
cleared with the Office of Price Administration here in Washing-
ton and has the sanction of Mr. Lippman, who is the Director of
the OPA here in Washington and in the Eastern Area. Please note
that this certificate must be presented in person.
There is another nurse in New Jersey whose assignment
we have just completed, and who is also planning to reach San
Francisco by March 20. We thought it would be nice if the two
of you could arrange to travel together. Her name is Miss Ada
Elizabeth MacIlwraith, c/o Mrs. A. T. Bailey, 125 Christopher St.,
Montclair. I have also given her your name and address.
Please remember to return the Reimbursement Agreement;
one Immunization form and the Record of Travelers Checks before
you leave the Mainland.
I trust that you will have a safe and enjoyable trip.
