We have been deep in the International
Council of Women. Unfortunately, I was away most of the time,
but must frankly admit that I enjoyed it very much. It seems
most unfortunate and somewhat lacking in hospitality for certain
American groups to have taken the attitude that they have.
Naturally this has influenced the press and many of the reports
have seemed to me untrue, and certainly far from courteous.
There were many fine speakers, and while it struck one as being
a more or less confused assembly, after one got accustomed to
International ways of handling affairs this was not so much in
