FORM 222 THE AMERICAN RED CROSS NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS NEW ENGLAND DIVISION, BOSTON, MASS. To Miss Clara D. No yes, Director of Nursing, Date February 20, 1922. Washington, D. C. Fromiss Mary K. Nelson, Director of Nursing, Subject New England Division. My dear Miss No yes : Today I am reporting myself back on duty and I am most thankful to be able to do this. Last week I visited the office several times and also saw the different supervisors in my rooms, but to me it was anything but being really on duty. After the serious time I had, I know I have every reason to consider myself most fortunate. My doctor from Fall River was in town Saturday and found me in better condition than he had expected, so I am being extremely careful. I shall carry work home for the after- noons, and shall continue to take extra nourishment as well as extra rest. I value good health too highly to be rash. Yours very sincerely, Director of Nursing Mary K. Nelson Service. P. S. Since writing you, I received your kind and thoughtful request for news. I must apologize for not writing you from home last week. Eager as I am to carry the whole work, I promise you to go very carefully. I feel that it would be unpardonable in me to do otherwise, after so much kindness has been shown me. MKN/BA
