THE AMERICAN RED CROSS NEW ENGLAND DIVISION ARTHUR G. ROACH PAUL W. KIMBALL DIVISION MAN ER 73 NEWBURY STREET ASSISTANT DIVISION MANAGER BOSTON 17, MASS. May 29, 1922. No. Empi Frev. Corr Miss Clara D. Noyes, Director, Nursing Service, A.R.C., RECO. Washington, D. C. minus MAY 81 My dear Miss Noyes:- Principal I have your letter of May 26th. The Advisory Health Council that I have organized is for the purpose of giving the Division Manager advice in regard to health matters. So far Miss Nelson has been present at each meeting of the Advisory Health Council; there have only been two meetings to date. I have not asked all members of the Staff Council and I ask different ones at different times, depending on what is to be discussed. I do not make any promises whatsoever in regard to whom I shall ask or have present. There is no question of any domination by anybody in this Division and I think that we should all get together and make up our minds that somebody is not trying to put anything over on us. We have enough to do with outside groups to take all of our attention. We at least here are of one unit and are concerned by the attitude of groups outside of the Red Cross, how we shall plan our work to the best interest of the communities and make the best of the Red Cross. I too have been disturbed about Miss Nelson and am doing everything that I can to ease up on her. I have told her to take some Saturdays off and get two good days of rest, and this she is doing. We have now planned it BO that she has gone to Fall River over the holiday, and she is able to do something for the Red Cross today. Very sincerely yours, Allen G. Routh AGR.K Division Manager. /X
