Miss Christine M. Nuno,
St. Luke's International Hospital,
Tokyo, Japan.
My dear Miss Nuno:
The beautiful scroll reached me during Easter
Week. I presume you intended it as àn Easter card, consequ ently
your plans did not miscarry. It is a very lovel thing and I am
wondering if it were made by the artist friend of yours whom I saw
at work in one of the galleries a few years ago? You will recall
that you and I went to gether to see her. I have already selected
a
place on the wall of my living room, where it makes a very beautiful
effect, and has been greatly admired. Please accept my appreciation
for your thoughtfulness.
I am rushing to get ready to atten the Bien ial
Convention which is held this year in San Antonio, Texas. I an
planning to leave tomorrow afternoon. It is held simuldaneously with
our Red Cross, Convention, but as someone had to represent the American
Red Cross at the Biennial, and as I an on thé Board of Directors I
se emed to be the person who could best be spared.
This is just a note to thank you for your lovely
gift, and with best wishes for E successful year, I am as always
Pincerely yours,
n.h
Dational Director, Nursing Service.
