My dear Miss Johnson:
I am enclosing the official receipt for
your check for $5.50, recently sent us in payment of
Miss Nuno's gold badge. I em afraid, however, that
you did not refer to my letter of August 24 when writing
the check as I notice I gave you the correct price
therein, namely $5.80. I am making up the difference
at this time, in order that the entire amount my be
credited in our Department of Accounts.
