My dear Miss 0'Connor:
e
Your brother-in-law, Mr. E. P. Malony of 134 West 87th Street, New
York City, recently contacted our North Atlantic area office in New York
City to inquire about your present position and address. He reported to
Miss Catherine Nardi the Assistant Director of Nursing Service there that
your husband is greatly concerned over your departure from the Mainland
and is very eager to get information as to your present whereabouts. Not
wishing to complicate any of your personal affairs we have written to your
brother-in-law as per the enclosed letter.
We trust that you are becoming acclimated to life in Hawaii and that
all of you are getting your hospital organized and in order. Miss
Richardson wrote me a note not long ago saying that she was interested in
planting a garden so that we have visions of all of you grubbing amongst
the flowers and vegetable>( which we hope you will grow) as well as being
active in the hospital proper. Please give my best to Miss Wilde and all
the other nurses in the unit.
Cordially yours,
(Mrs.) Ernestine B. Amick
Assistant to Director
Nursing Service
