My dear Miss Berg:
I have just received word from Miss Bernice
Mildred Renfro, who is at in Hawaii, that she contemplates
joining the Nevy Nurse Corps as soon as she returns to the Mainland.
She anticipates that and will be available for service upon com-
pletion of some personal matters, about June 15th.
In order to expedite her appointment, I mondered
if it vould be possible for you to classify her available at this
time. She expects to be staying with her sister, Mrs. Alfred
Oats, Fallon, Nevada, and does not contemplate accepting any
civilian nursing employment in the United States preliminary to
her appointment with the llavy Nurse Corps.
For your convenience, we are enclosing a clearance
form hoping that this will facilitate early action. I realize that
this is an unusual request and that it is exceedingly difficult to
classify a nurse who is not even in this country but, barring
accident in transportation, I think her plans will go through as
contemplated, provided we can get en availability classification.
