My dear Miss Renfros
On the questionnaire which you recently completed to bring your
records as a Red Cross nurse up to date for the current year, you indicated
that you would be available for service on April or May lst. We are glad
to know of your desire to be of service at this time.
We note on the notice of your release from service with the
Hawáii OCD Unit that you stated that you desired to return to the Mainland
to join the Navy Nurse Corps. However, we believe that it will not be neces-
sary for you to return to the Mainland for assignment, as some nurses are
being assigned from Hawaii. We suggest that you write to Captain Sue Dauser,
Superintendent Navy Nurse Corps, Bureau of Medicane and Surgery, Potomac
Annex, Bldg. 24, Room 100, 23rd & Constitution Avenue, N. W., Washington, D. c.
and ask her for further information.
We are enclosing an application form for the Navy Nurse Corps for
you to complete and return to us so that we will have recent information in
your record. to send to the Navy Nurse Corps.
