Dr. Mildred G. Gregory
64 North 9th Street
Newark, N. J.
My dear Dr. Gregory:
Miss Stefanie Schlesinger, a graduate of Presbyterian
Hospital, Newark, N. J., is applying through the American Red
Cross Nursing Service for service in the Civilian Nursing Program
in Hawaii. We would appreciate very much having your opinion as
to her suitability for a 'foreign service assignment. It is not
only necessary to consider her professional education and experience,
but also such characteristics as adaptability, initiative, the
ability to get along with people, and to adjust to unusual situations.
Your reply will, of course, be confidential and we will
appreciate hearing from you at your earliest possible convenience.
Sincerely yours, .
(Mrs.) Ernestine B. Amick
