Dear Mrs. Scotts
I am enclosing a check for $1,000 made
out to the American Nurses' Association from the
American Red Cross. In accord with our discussion
about a month ago and your letter of July 10,
addressed to Mrs. Conrad in my bbsence from the
office, this is for the purpose of assisting
financially in the conduct of the display "The
Army Nurse in War" as sponsored jointly by the
American Nursest Association and the American Red
Cross with the Army in New York and Philadelphia.
This undertaking has seemed to us an
exceedingly worthwhile one and it is very fitting
that it should have the backing of the nurses of
the country as well as the American Red Cross.
