AMERICAN RED CROSS (CROIX-ROUGE AMÉRICAINE) + Paris, Dec.6, 1921. From: Helen Scott Hay, Director, Nursing Service, A.R.C. Europe. To: Miss Florence M.Johnson, Director of Nursing Service, New York City. Subject: Release of Nurse Annie E. Slack, Enrollment No. 15504. The above named A.R.C. Nurse is being returned to the United States enroute from Serbia, upon the com- pletion of her services in Europe. Miss Slack arrived in Paris Sept.20,1921, for service with the Serbian Child Welfare Association of America, and was roleased from that organization on October 3lst, 1921. (Letter regarding Miss Slack's release is being carried by Miss Weiss and Miss Wuerthner sailing on the $$ "Ryhdan" from Boulogne the 10th instant.) She sails on the $$ "Providence" leaving Marseilles Dec. 10th. Owing to her short period of service no vacation is due her. As Miss Slack had considered staying over here for a time she was granted a deferred sailing, without pay. Miss Slack was one of the two nurses who took care of Miss Brezinova on the journey from Paris to Prague.
