My dear Miss Smith:
Your letter of October 6th received and we appreciate
very much your willingness to go wherever the need seems greatest.
For the present we will hold the question in abeyance as it may be
that we have already sent a sufficient number of chief nurses to the
Surgeon General's office for the cantonments. We will write you
later concerning this.
