My dear Mrs. Le Jongs:
Enclosed please find Check No. 63438 in the amount of
$14.50 made payable to Laurine Alva Smith. This check
covers expenses incurred by Miss Smith in regard to Ane
appointment to the Harvard Unit. Since we received it
too late to mail it to her, we are sending it on to you
for the same disposition as the remaining salary checks
to be issued each month.
