Miss Leah Blaisdell,
Henry Street Visiting Nurse Service,
262 Madison Avenue,
New York City.
My dear Miss Blaisdell:
I am enclosing copy of a letter I have just written to
a nurse who has written us about a possible later assignment with
the American Red Cross-Harvard Field Hospital Unit.
As you will note in the letter, I have supplied Miss Storey
with an application form and asked her to send it to you. After
you have seen her, if she does make, an appointment to see you,
I think the plan could be simply to have the application form then
sent on to us with your comments. The form could be held until
May lst, if she does not get in touch with you before that time.
If you have suggestions for any modification of this procedure
which you think would help, we should be glad to make errangements
for them. Next month I plan to go over all of the letters we
have had from nurses throughout the winter, and if there are
nurses in the New York area I should appreciate very much sending
them to you.
Sincerely yours,
Virginia M. Dunbar,
Assistent Director,
Nursing Service.
