My dear Miss Dunbar:
I would so like to see you before
we do leave for England. Your letter of July 22nd
has cleared up a number of questions for me. It is
most challenging as you outline the program and I
should like to be sure that I understand fully what
is in your thinking so far as we are concerned.
Will the relationship of the
Army nurses to the civilian public health services
present a problem that was not present while the
Red Cross was sponsoring the project?
The field uniform that has been
reordered has not yet reached me with the exception
of the Knox hat. As you have ordered a white uniform
I
will include the accessories for a hospital uniform
and shall concentrate on warm clothing.
So far as I know there is no
reason why I should not be accepted by the Army on
the basis of a physical examination.
