Identification\nWe are enclosing identification cards (Forms\n928 and 932) which you will need, and also a statement over\nMiss Beard's signature identifying you with the American Red\nCross-Harvard Field Hospital Unit in England. We advise that\nyou keep these three forms available at all times to present\nfor identification.\n4. Advance for expenses\nWe are enclosing a check for $150 for\nyour advance money, and the record of travelers! checks which\nyou will return to this office as soon as you have converted\nthe check into travelers' checks. You will need to get some\nEnglish money before sailing, and will want to consult your\nbank about this. The instructions are that not more than\nten pounds may be taken into Great Britain, and that during\nthe voyage passengers may use one pound or 10 shilling notes\nbut the purser is not permitted to accept notes of five pounds\nor higher denomination.\n5. Special identification\na. Please note on the confidential information sheet the\ninstructions as to identification disc which is to be\nvouchered for.\nb. Special identification card or certificate. This you\nobtain by applying to the Troop Movement Officer at\nthe port of embarkation.\n6. Vouchers\nSee instructions on confidential information sheet.\n7. Passport\nWe are mailing this to you as soon as it is returned\nto us from the British Embassy where it has been sent for visa.\nTo summarizes Please plan to have everything in readiness by July 25th,\nbut do not give up your position and remain on the alert from that time on,\nuntil you receive word from us as to when to report to the port of embarkation.\nIf you make any change in your address or telephone number, addvise us at\nonce so that we will always be able to get in touch with you at a moment's\nnotice.\nSincerely yours,\nMrs. Ernestine B.
