My dear Miss Thomas:
Your letter of December 20 has been received and when you are
ready to be assigned to service, we will be glad to assign you if
possible.
We are sending from time to time, nurses for service in Europe,
public health and other services.
hen you can leave your position and are rendy for the service,
if you will notify this office, we will do our best to assign you.
In the meantime, I would suggest that you send a physical examination
on the enclosed blank, as the one you sent cannot be accepted by our
medical director. I would also advise you to start your im unity
treatment, so that when you are able to report to duty, you will be
ready.
If you will state the kind of service you desire, we will endeavor
to meet with your wishes. We are also enclosing a circular of inform-
tion concerning the equipment all Red Cross Turses should order when
assigned to service.
