I greatly\nappreciate your expression of appreciation of my work on\nthe Local Committee which has covered a period of years but\ninasmuch as it is important that the older members retire and\nmake it possible for younger ones to participate in the\nactive work of the Local Committee, I do not wish to accept\nthe reappointment at this time.\nI shall be glad to do so at another time if\nit is wise and you should wish it. I am enjoying my work as\nChairman of the Pennsylvania State Red Cross Nursing Committee\nand my membership in the National Red Cross Nursing Committee.\nMy association with you and the other members\nof the National Committee will always be one of which I am\nvery proud and I hope that my work on these Committees may\nbe helpful to the Red Cross Nurses of the State.
