Dear Dr. Hanford:
May I thank you for your letter received this morning,
and for the interest expressed in our enrolled Red Cross nurse
Miss Charlotte Van Duzar?
It is quite likely that the first corps of nurses will
leave New York within the next two weeks, so I feel it to be most
unwise to consider Miss Van Duzar's selection at this time. It
may be possible to consider her appointment should we send another
group of nurses abroad.
