Sebtember 2, 1920. 5. Mrc. Maude Moody, S Bureau of Nurses' Equipment, Atlentic Division, American Red Cross. 44 I. 23d St.. New York City. My dear Mrs. Moody: Today I am sending an equipment card to Miss Ruth C. Waterbury, whose temporary address is c/o Mrs. J. Guy Woodward, 701 McDonough St., Joliet. Iil. She is going to the Virgin Islands as a school nurse, probably sailing October 28, 1920, from New York. She is leaving her present ad- dress some time during September to go back to her home in Boston, to pre- pare for the trip. I have advised her to check off the aquipment card and send it to you at once, and give you the date on which she will be in New York, at which time she will see you and possibly oe able to arrange for & fitting of her suit, and see you about any other matter necessery. I have advised also that Miss Waterbury take up with you in her letter the fact that the Virgin Islands climate is not unlike that of Beranda, and is very even with very little cold weather, and it may be necessary for her to have light woolens or cotton in place of the heavier underclothing and I doubt if the trench coat would be necessary - I should think in place of it a light rain-coat of kind. However, you and she will be able to decide that matter without my advice. Trusting that Miss Waterbury will comply with my suggestions promptly, Yours very sincersly Ida F. Butler Diractor, Dept. of Nursing Insular and Foreign Division. American Red Cross. National Headquarters, Washington, D. C. IFB: DM
