My dear Miss Waterbury:
In order for nurses to retain thoir active status in the
Red Cross Nursing Service, it is essential that wo, hear from thom
at loast onco a year so we will know where to locato them in caso
of necossity.
As we have had no/word from you for more than a. year, your
records should be transferrod to the inactive filos. We hesitate
to take this action, however, because you aro a young nurso and no
doubt still activo in the profession. You perhaps did not realize
the groat importance of koeping us informed of your address and pro-
fessional activities, especially in timo of war.
Please bring your records up to date promptly, by filling
in and roturning the enclosed questionnairo. This will enablo you
to retain your active status which will mean a groat doal to your
Nurse Recruitment Committoe as woll as to yoursolf. If we do not
hear from you within 30 days, we shall have to assume that you no
longer wish to stand roady for the service for which you bocame a
Red Cross nurse.
We hopo to hear from you in the noar futuro.
